Matt- as a Buddhist ,with three cats and a dog,who is married to a Catholic,who STRONGLY dislikes cats and ADORES dogs, I can’t tell you how wonderful I found your post to be.
In our household, the dog chewed the crucifix to splinters (including Jesus). All was forgiven. Had it been one of the cats, I suspect we would have been in Spanish Inquisition circumstances.
Keep on posting, I can’t wait to share your observations with my husband.

Haiku (the dog) wanted me to assure you that she has given up chewing crucifixes for Lent.

Matt, I agree with Anne…fabulous post, and just ignore the crystal ball which shows a couch and a bearded man in your future! The entire post was great, but that part about Renatta being half-Witness, half-Unitarian was one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time

MATT! Please don’t go for the therapy that some will likely say you need after they read today’s FABULOUS post. I’m only slightly worried that it makes near perfect sense to me.
